Edward Clements Yellowley papers, 1842-1864 [manuscript].

Papers of Yellowley of Pitt County, N.C., chiefly antebellum correspondence concerning the collection of monies owed him, and letters to his wife and military correspondence while he was an officer of the 8th Regiment N.C. State Troops and the 68th N.C. Infantry Regiment, C.S.A., serving in the coastal area of North Carolina, concerning troop movements, deserters, and other military matters. Also included is a letter, 1861, from Houston, Tex., about the social and political climate in Texas.
